Directions from Junction 6 of the A1: (directions in Blue on Map)
  1. After exiting, at the first roundabout, take the 2nd exit
  2. next roundabout go straight over 
  3. next roundabout, take the 1st exit (for reference the Quality hotel is at this roundabout), signed to Codicote
  4. next roundabout, go right (signed Codicote).
  5. follow this road through Codicote centre, as you are leaving the village turn left opposite the Wyvale Garden Center (signed Whitwell)
  6. follow this road to Whitwell, drive down the high street past the Bull Pub (on the right), the Maidens Head Pub (on the left) and the Post Office on the right. 
  7. Turn left up Horn Hill and at the top of the hill just 50 yards after the Water Tower, turn right, signposted "The Holt"
  8. Maple Cottage is the second gateway on the left (approx 3/4 mile down the road)
Directions from Junction 8 of the A1 (directions in Purple on Map)
  1. After exiting, take the exit signed to Hitchin (4th exit when coming from the north)
  2. follow this road to Hitchin and the first roundabout, take the 1st exit, signed to Codicote
  3. next roundabout, take the 2nd exit
  4. after 2 miles, turn right onto the B651 signposted Whitwell
  5. Follow this road to Whitwell at at the T junction, turn right.
  6. Drive down the high street past the Bull Pub (on the right), the Maidens Head Pub (on the left) and the Post Office on the right. 
  7. Turn left up Horn Hill and at the top of the hill just 50 yards after the Water Tower, turn right, signposted "The Holt"

Directions from Junction 9 of the M1 (directions in Orange on Map)
  1. After exiting, at the first roundabout, take the 2nd exit,Watery Lane signed Kinsbourne Green
  2. Go over M1 and take the next left turn (on a sharp right bend) and then immediate first right into Kennel Lane (note very narrow lane!)
  3. Follow this road to the end, where you will join Kinsbourne Green Lane and turn left and then down to a T junction
  4. At the T junction at the bottom of the hill, turn right (towards Harpenden)
  5. Take the next right (within 50 meters/yards) towards New Mill End
  6. at the cross roads by the Sewage Works go straight over towards Peters Green
  7. follow this road through Peters Green passing the Bright Star Public House
  8. Approx 3/4 Mile after the Pub, take the left turn signed Ansells End
  9. Follow this road to the bottom of the Hill and take the second left (for reference a dark brown/white house is on the road)
  10. Follow this road all the way to the other end (passing 5 Holt Cottages on you right)
  11. At the end of the road, turn left and down Horn Hill
  12. At the bottom, turn right through Whitwell
  13. Take the left turn Signed Hitchin
  14. The church entrance is just past the Strathmore Arms Pub. 
Directions from Junction 10 of the M1 (directions in Red on Map)
  1. After exiting the Motorway follow the road to junction 10a 
  2. At the first roundabout, 2nd exit towards airport
  3. At the next roundabout, 1st exit
  4. next roundabout 2nd exit (right)
  5. next roundabout, 2nd exit (for reference, 1st exit is to Luton Airport Parkway railway station)
  6. follow this road from approx 1 mile. just after a 40 mile/hour road sign is a left turn signed Peters Green/Kimpton (opposite Sewage Works). Take this
  7. follow this road through Peters Green passing the Bright Star Public House
  8. Approx 3/4 Mile after the Pub, take the left turn signed Ansells End
  9. Follow this road to the bottom of the Hill and take the second left (for reference a dark brown/white house is on the road)
  10. Follow this road all the way to the other end (passing 5 Holt Cottages on you right)
  11. At the end of the road, turn left and down Horn Hill
  12. At the bottom, turn right through Whitwell
  13. Take the left turn Signed Hitchin
  14. The church entrance is just past the Strathmore Arms Pub.

  1. Take A505 towards Luton
  2. At first roundabout,take the third exit onto Chalk End Lane
  3. next roundabout, take the first exit to Luton allong Hatters way
  4. next junction, stay in the right hand lane, and take the second exit at the large roundabout
  5. next roundabout, 2nd exit 
  6. at the bottom of the road at the large roundabout, take the 3rd exit
  7. go straight over the two mini roundabouts
  8. at the next roundabout, take the first exit
  9. next roundabout, 2nd exit (for reference, 1st exit is to Luton Airport Parkway railway station)
